Construction Has Begun in Kaffe Fassett Village!!

This my first attempt at this type of quilt piecing and quite honestly, it's much more difficult than I would have imagined.  I was going to say that it's tougher than paper-piecing when it dawned on me that I just might be able to paper-piece these little goodies!!  Has anyone ever tried that??

This is going to be a very colorful village!!

What a fabulous village you are creating! Don't you wish real houses could really be as colorful as those on your quilt?!

I like the idea of paper-pieceing and already have a template for flying geese, but I haven't tried it yet. I must be a little nervous that I'll do something dumb. I should first watch someone sew with paper, as the foundation, so I know what to do. Do you sew 2 pieces of fabric on top of the paper and what do you do with the paper afterwards? Does it work for many different patchwork designs? I'm hoping it's easy and will make sewing patchwork a breeze.
